by On January 27th 2020, CBC News published an article denouncing claims that Chinese scientists working at the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg were involved in smuggling the new coronavirus to the Wuhan Laboratory in China (1). They went on to label several online alternative media sites as “Fake News” referring to the stories as “baseless,” “misinformation,” and “conspiracy theory based on distorted reading.” They went on to say that “CBC reporting never claimed the two scientists were spies,” and that this disinformation created a “social panic” online. CBC then referred to experts who called for the online censorship of social media.
Earlier, CIN published a series of articles from several news sources, including CBC, that showed conflicting evidence to their claims above. Here is our summary:
- That Chinese scientists were fired from the National Microbiology Laboratory.
- The Chinese scientists involved had taken numerous trips to China and that a third party (whose name was redacted by the freedom of information office) was paying for these trips.
- That several researchers fearing retribution wished to remain anonymous but stated that there were concerns regarding the travel to-from China.
- That supervisors in that lab prevented researchers from speaking with the RCMP.
- There were other breaches in the past where pathogens were smuggled out of the laboratory by other Chinese scientists.
- That the RCMP was investigating the unlawful transfer of pathogens to China.
- That the Chinese scientists trained other Chinese researchers at the Wuhan laboratory.
- And that the lab in Wuhan where the Chinese Scientists trained researchers had ties to the Chinese Military.
- That the Chinese scientist had also shared intellectual property with a Chinese pharmaceutical company (Mabworks) to produce the Ebola vaccine (ZMAPP) without authorization.
- Research revealed that the Coronavirus was sent from Saudi Arabia, to the Netherlands (Eramus Medical Center) and then to Canada (National Microbiology Laboratory) in 2012, where the Chinese scientists under investigation were working.
- Online sources revealed that the World Health Organization is working with the Eramus Medical Center in the Netherlands and teams working on the current novel Coronavirus in Wuhan, China.
- Sources also revealed that the SARS virus outbreak was cause by the release of the virus from a Beijing laboratory.
- Statements from Dr. Frank Plummer, the director of the National Microbiology lab in Canada, indicate that while he was in charge he was also a closet alcoholic and did not generally supervise the work (2). He said, as director of the lab he “basically set people free to do their jobs. And I tried to run interference for them, and get them the money that they needed for them to do their jobs.”
- A report in NATURE now reveals that in 2004 the SARS virus originated in Beijing China, had escaped from high-level containment facility there.
- Numerous sources support that coronavirus was released from the Wuhan National Biosafety laboratory either accidentally or intentionally.
- Recently, scientific journal The Lancet established that the coronavirus may not have originated from bats as was claimed by Chinese scientists in Wuhan, who have blamed the outbreak on the ingestion of “bats” sold at the local “wet markets (3)”.

Did CBC try to backpedal on their own stories? Did they get a frantic call in the night from one of Trudeau’s lackeys? One thing is clear: it is crucial in these times to check the references on articles you find, and follow through on reading things for yourself.
